Introduction to Classics

I Ching (易经)

The I Ching is one of China's oldest classics, honored as the “first among all classics.” Through eight trigrams and sixty-four hexagrams, it explains the patterns of universal change, containing ancient Chinese philosophical reflections on nature, society, and life.

Tao Te Ching (道德经)

The Tao Te Ching is a work by Laozi, founder of Taoism. Though only about 5,000 characters long, it contains profound philosophical wisdom. It explores the relationship between “Tao” (the Way) and “Te” (Virtue), advocating governance through non-action and a return to natural simplicity.

Ba Gua (八卦)

The Ba Gua (Eight Trigrams) forms the foundation of ancient Chinese philosophy and divination. Consisting of eight basic symbols representing heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain, and lake, it is the key to understanding the I Ching and an essential component of Feng Shui and fortune-telling.
